When a modem is attached, the WLP can be programmed to perform dial-out on alarm to up to four different phone numbers or SMS-pool (in Denmark), while DanTaet can provide swift assistance and troubleshooting by remote control of the WLP.
Whenever a building contains more than one WLP computers, these may be connected in a DCN-network, permitting any computer to utilize an attached modem, and permitting remote control of all WLPs.
The flow meters of the WLP system can be employed as secondary meters by the BMS, saving space and reducing acquisition and installation costs. The WLP can reproduce the meter impulses directly, or supply an impulse per volume unit adjustable 1-1000 liters.
The alarm outputs of the WLP system may be used to indicate system status on the BMS or other technical equipment.
The open BMS protocol of the WLP systems permits data communication with and a degree of remote control from the BMS.
Local protection of a particularly sensitive or exposed location from aggregate water by means of liquid sensors LS-X attached to the WLP system.
Response time of the point protection is adjustable from 1 sec to ½ hour. This permits tailoring the response to prevailing conditions, e.g. enabling the system to tolerate temporary wetness of a sensor during room cleaning procedures.
Specify whether the sensor must cut-off one or more installation branches on aggregate water alarm.
Specify whether the system may automatically acknowledge an aggregate water alarm if the sensor subsequently dries up.
Specify the length of cable between sensor and computer - this should possible be part of the tender for electrical installations. An LS-X sensor may be equipped with up to 10,000ft of the suitable type of cable.

Description of Supply Water Leakage Protection System

The supply water installation of the building is to be equipped with a leakage protection system which continuously monitors the consumption and provides automatic cut-off on detection of a leakage if a cut-off capability is present. The system must perform regular self-testing of its primary components.
