Monitoring Functions

Leakage:
System BL permits the continuous discharge of a preset amount of supply water. If this amount is surpassed in a single discharge, a Max Alarm is issued, and the water supply is cut off.
Systems BLG/BLGX further permit the continuous discharge of a preset amount of greay water. If this amout is surpassed in a single discharge, a Max Alarm is issued, and the grey water installation is cut off.
 

Seepage:
System BL checks that the water flow in both the cold and warm water installations can drop and remain below a preset level for a preset time duration, and will issue a seepage alarm and cut off the water supply if this fails to occur daily.
Systems BLG/BLGX further check that the water flow in the grey water installation can drop and remain below a preset level for a preset time duration, and will issue a seepage alarm and cut off the grey water supply if this fails to occur daily.
 

System Error:
System BL/BLG/BLGX checks that attached flow meters issue impulses regularly, unless the Holiday function is active.
Whenever a valve is closed - manually or by alarm - System BL/BLG/BLGX checks its tightness. If a component fails, a System Error is issued, and the relevant water supply is cut off.
 

Supply Error:
System BL/BLG/BLGX monitors the mains supply and all internal supplies. If either of these fail, a Supply Error is issued. This does not cause cut-off of the water installation.

Alarm Functions

On leakage and system errors, system BL/BLG/BLGX will cut off the water supply for the relevant installation, issue visual and audible alarms and activate the relevant alarm relay.
Supply errors are reported via the alarm relay and possibly also visually and audibly.

Variants

Systems BLG and BLGX comprise an extra monitoring channel for grey water or rainwater, enabling protection of the entire water installation also in future 'green' apartment buildings.
Systems BLG and BLGX differ only in the size of the grey water meter, system BLGX being employed where the operating pressure in the grey water supply is lowm or where the grey water consumption is large.

Specifications

Controls and indicators:
Mains, Flow, Valve and State indicators, buzzer.
Buttons for manual valve control, temporary free discharge selector, holiday function and alarm acknowledge.

Leakage monitor:
Permissible single supply water discharge selectable 50, 100, 200 or 400 liters.
Flow minimum to terminate discharge 15 l/h.
In Holiday mode, permissible single discharge is 20 liters, irrespective of setting.
BLG/BLGX: Permissible single grey water discharge selectable 10, 20, 40 or 80 liters.
Flow minimum to terminate discharge 15 l/h.
In Holiday mode, permissible single discharge is 10 liters, irrespective of setting.
BL/BLG/BLGX: Free discharge duration selectable 1-8 hours.

Seepage monitor:
Seepage tolerance ½, 1 or 2 liters in 30 or 60 minutes. Observation interval 24 hours.

Inspection alarm:
For use in the care for the elderly and disabled, system BL/BLG/BLGX can issue an inspection alarm after 12/18/24 hours absence of water consumption. Inspection alarm does not cut off the installation, and will not be issued in Holiday mode.

Registration of consumption
System BL/BLG/BLGX features impulse outputs, registering cold and warm water consumption (BL); cold, warm and grey, or supply, drain and grey water consumption respectively (BLG/BLGX).

Mains connection
230V 50Hz L/N/PE via external key switch. Power consumption max 20VA.

Options

Liquid Sensor Attachment:
Systems BL/BLG/BLGX accomodate via interface ILS-C up to two liquid sensoers type LS-X, whereby the system offers point protection of a particulalrly sensitive area so that the water supply may be cut off on Liquid Sensor alarm if desired.

SMS-alarm:
By attachment of an external SMS-alarm to the alarm relay output, system BL can ship a text message to a selected mobile phone number.
